About Us
The Cornerstone Cadets are part of a larger organization called The Calvinist Cadet Corps which is an independent (non-denominational) youth ministry organization whose purpose is to provide the local church with a ministry program that will enable them to effectively share Christ’s love with boys from their church and community. Founded in 1952, the Corps has more than 600 clubs throughout North America and “brother clubs” in Australia and New Zealand. We are also reaching out to boys in Africa with clubs in Kenya and Uganda. We encourage any evangelical Bible believing church to consider using our ministry programs. The organization uses the title “Calvinist” to honour the Protestant reformer, John Calvin, who devoted his life to the religious education of God’s children.
As a Club we are part of a larger group within the Golden Horseshoe of Ontario Canada called the Berean West Council. Which is made up of 7 different club groups in total. These clubs are from both Canadian Reformed churches and United Reformed Churches.

Calvinist Cadet Corps |
The basis of the Calvinist Cadet Corps is the Word of God (the Bible) according to the concept of the same as expressed in the Heidelberg Catechism, the Canons of Dort, and the Belgic Confession.
Practical Application of these Beliefs God is Revealed in His Word The cadeting ministry encourages studying the Bible as the guide to life. God is Revealed in Nature The cadeting ministry encourages experiencing the presence of the Lord in His glorious creation. Learning the skills of an outdoorsman builds a boy’s character, and developing a boy’s understanding of his place in God’s world helps him to be a faithful steward. Men as God’s Servants The Calvinist Cadet Corps is the ministry of men of God who are dedicated to bring boys into a living relationship with their Lord and Savior. These men, understanding their imperfection, hold on to the promise that the Lord will bless their prayers, their example, and their instruction if they rely on God’s strength. |

Cadeting has an answer |
Cadeting provides many experiences and offers many opportunities that help fill the gaps in a boy’s Christian upbringing. The adventure of outdoor activities, the hands-on projects, the mentoring role model of a Christian man, all serve to build strong members of the body of Christ. This is a goal of the cadeting ministry.
